Jessica Simpson On Her Acting On "Newlyweds"

She’s caught such a bad rap for being ditzy on her actuality show “Newlyweds,” but Jessica Simpson is bound and determined to show herself as an actress. Presently she’s getting her butt kicked all over the screen while filming Major Movie Star. In addition, she has her Blonde Ambition co-star Rachel Leigh Cook singing her admires.

The Josie and the Pussycats starlet informed press that even with her preconceived notions about Jessica Simpson’s diva-like tendencies, she was totally overwhelmed. “She was really sweet and cool. I was really taken by surprise how reserved she is.”

And when it came time to get down to business, Cook says that Jessica Simpson wasn’t under any hallucinations about being a seasoned expert. “She’s really open about saying, “this is my first time having more than 10 lines in a movie. I’m kind of new here.” She took the job really seriously. She wasn’t out partying all the time… She would go home and be at work the next day.”

The Antitrust actress admitted that she was super surprised when she found out just how involved Jessica Simpson really is in all of her merchandising activities. “I said, ‘So, you have this clothing line, come on, is that really you?’ And she said, ‘Yeah, absolutely. When they first manufactured this coat, the belt was too high, so I put it down because it makes the line look better.’ She’s really involved, which I was truthfully surprised by.”
